Site Created without Site Customer/Vendor - LSMW for Site customer/Vendor fails

$

I am in a catch 22 situation as Site created without Vendor/Customer and now it won't let me add Site customer/Vendor nor change/display the site.I am not getting any ideas to fix this situation , hoping one of you will have better ideas.

Issue : Site creation in golden client via LSMW resulted in few sites getting created without Site Vendor/Site Customer. As there is no Site Vendor/Customer it won't let me display or change site via WB02/ WB03. When I moved the transport containing Site to other dev client I was able to create Site Vendor/Site Customer via LSMW by posting Site customers and Site Vendors. Now other dev clients everything looks good as I am able to go to WB02/WB03.

But when I try the same LSMW for posting site vendor and Site customer in golden client I get an error WEB_DYNPRO NOT FOUND error.I am afraid manual creation of site customer and Site Vendor will also not fix it as per my simulation/test in sandbox. Please see attached screen shots of error messages ,I am wondering if archiving is the only way and if archived will the same site numbers be available ?.

SAP Customer Master - Multiple Addresses

$

0

Hello All,

Scenario:

I have a Retail Business Scenario where the individual customer has multiple ship-to addresses, it can be more than one ship-to location. Its stored as the same customer number with multiple addresses in the current legacy system. In SAP ECC one Ship-to address is one customer number.

If i follow the traditional SAP ECC route I have to create a lot of customers as Ship-to's.

I did find some documentation on SAP HELP about BUSINESS ADDRESS SERVICES:

Mapping of Application Addresses

Depending on the addressee of an address, an address is made up of different components. For a contact person in a company, for example, you need not only the company address, but also the name of the contact person and possibly the name of the department. This is why it makes sense to distinguish between different types of addresses.

The BAS provide three address types:

Company addresses (address type 1)
Personal addresses (address type 2)
Workplace addresses (address type 3)

Here is the SAP Help link:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/12/ad79975c5811d3b4ea006094192fe3/content.htm?frameset=/en/12/ad799d5c5811d3b4ea006094192fe3/frameset.htm&current_toc=/en/cd/13b237b9a9a968e10000009b38f8cf/plain.htm&node_id=5&show_children=false

Question:

We know that standard functionality can take care of multiple addresses as multiple Ship-to Numbers. If we could create multiple addresses for the same customer, that way we don't have to create new ship-to for each different address for the same customer. Has anybody used SAP BUSINESS ADDRESS SERVICES ??

One more option is to use SAP Business Partners to store the multiple addresses, Could anyone let me know how i can use Business Partners with multiple addresses on a Sales Order in ECC ??

If you have any idea about this functionality, please let me know and I can provide more details.

Kindly advise ASAP.

Appreciate all your help and expertise. Please email me with your inputs.

SAP Fashion Management - also the solution for pure manufacturers and wholesalers?

$

Hi,

Earlier this year, SAP presented SAP Fashion Management. This new and exciting solution has been designed for players which manufacture, distribute through retail and wholesale channels. The solution is an add-on for IS-Retail and perfect for the Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and Adidas of this world.

But how about players who DO NOT have a retail channel e.g. fashion manufacturing and wholesale companies. Based on the fact that Fashion Management is built on IS-Retail, what would be the best approach for these companies? Will AFS still be in the picture for wholesalers and manufacturers and what will be the AFS roadmap (ex. HANA)?

Thanks

How I can include an additional condition in the assoment list by the IDOC WBBDLD, in the segments E1WBB07 and E1WBB08?

Hi Retail Experts,

I need to add an additional Price condition to be sent by POS Interface. I'm using the IDOC WBBDLD for this purpose.

Now the system send only one condition (VKP0) with de Price information in the segments E1WBB07 and E1WBB08. According with the sap help documentation, I did the next configurations:

1. I Defined a new condition type (VKP3), copied of (VKP0).

Pricing_1.png

2. I Maintained the POS condition type group, for POS Interface.

Pricing_2.png

3.  The conditios type group is now asigned to profile for POS outbound.

Pricing_3.png

3. The profile for POS outboud is already in the store master data:

Pricing_4.png

4. I mantained the filter settings for condition types.

Pricing_5.png

5. I create a condition master record for (Material per Sales Organitation and distribution chanel for VKP0 and VKP3 conditions.

The system detects the change pointers and when i try to send the IDOC by WDBU transaction, in the IDOC created only appears the Price for condition VKP0.

Someone know what i can do to add the additional Price condition (VKP3) in the correspond segment?

Hi,

In our present landscape POSDM is placed as a logical partition of BI system Hence we are accessing POSDM as a different system in GUI, not through BI.

The new requirement is to send sales data from POSDM to BI.

Can anyone elaborate on the configs required from POSDM and BI to meet this requirement.

Thanks in advance.

Undo Substitution switch and transfer to F&R

$

Hi,

A substitution relation was entered in trx. WRFFUART with a start-date 15.07.2015. However now we find that the follow-up article used in the replacement will not be used at all, and the substitution should not take place after all.

However, the business realised this only after the actual substitution switch had already occurred.

They now want to order to the original article, but due to the switch having taken place that original article is blocked in SAP F&R.

Via what means would that be possible? (Workaround etc.). Looks like only a "one way" process is supported in case of follow-up, and no correction possible after switch has occured?

NB: Basically in Retail all article data are set correctly at this moment according to the business; we only want to delete the records that were previously created in WRFFUART and undo the result of that WRFFUART record in F&R (substitution assignment relation and substitution switch processing)

161 Movement via IDOC for Intercompany STO

Hi,

SAP does not allow to post 161 movement via IDOC for Intercompany STO with Returns Indicator ticked and GR based Invoice ticked!

When Posted through MIGO, it considers SHKZG field as 'S' as it is against a PO while in IDOC it considers as 'H' as it takes this value from T156 table.

Do you have any workaround Solution to get around this?

Thanks.

WESIMG config steps for enhance ES

Hi experts,

I am a PO consultant and working with a retail client at the moment. Here I have learnt that outbound service generation is a bit different from ECC and its more like IDocs using change pointers. Also that generally a functional consultant would configure the output determination in WESIMG. Now I want to learn to do configure it myself and couldnot find enough documentation online.

Requirement is that we have enhanced RetailEventERPStoreReplicationRequest_V1 for few fields and now there is new Service Interfcace.

I have gone through: Generation of Messages for Application - Integration Using Services - SAP Library

and Integration Using Services - SAP Library

but couldnot understand the steps to be followed for enahanced service as it generates a separate class and a new SI as well.

Help will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi retail-professionals,

I would like to replace retail texts after implementing a new retail-system.

As per SAP note 897714 I have downloaded the corresponding text-archive (R002079.K5H).

Note in SAP note 897714:

"6. If the archive contains R* and K* files, import the contained

transport into your system using tp."

--> In which system directory should I copy the text-archive R002079.K5H?

2nd Question: how can I be sure having the newest RSBRAN03?

Thank you for your help

Prepack article movement at DC

Hi Guys,

My client is using prepack concept to manage their stock at Retail Industry.

Current :

We are creating PO at DC at prepack level, the component is exploded automatically

but when we do the goods receipt for PO, the proposed line item at GR is at component level.

Our requirement is to do the GR at DC and prepack level to ease the GR process,

and we want to review the stock at Prepack and Component level.

Question :

1. What is the best practice at retail to manage the prepack material distribution?

2. Is it standard to do GR and GI at DC at prepack level?

3. Is there any standard report to view material at prepack and also at component level?

Thanks in advance

Omni-Commerce - How to measure success ?

$
0
0

In a lot of the financial retail presentations I have followed recently, there has been much discussion about the growth of e-commerce in f.k.a. Brick and Mortar retailers (now known as seamless brands or a variation on this theme !). One of the areas I have been researching in recent years is the growth rate of the e-commerce or digital commerce as a percentage of total revenues. While this is not necessarily an SEC mandate it is published for several retailers to let the investment community know how successful they are at adapting to this digital world.

In many companies I have analyzed there seems to be a trend that the growth of e-commerce is not translating into better overall performance in same store or comparable sales growth. Even in cases where e-commerce is growing in the 30% rate it still seems to lack a large impact on absolute positive sames store sales growth. Granted in a lot of cases this is building of a low base figure and therefore takes significant time to realize returns. Just ask Amazon about capital investments to achieve growth !

The area that struck me as interesting was that it is likely that the direct shoppers are not venturing into the store to shop and engage, at least not in enough numbers to move the needle on absolute growth. This is a different scenario than often covered vis-a-vis the supply chain aspects of omni-commerce which are well documented to date e.g. buy online - pick-up etc.

If we consider the large capital investments in e-commerce required to bolster growth it would seem that the conversion of these digital shoppers into digital and physical hybrid shoppers is the key. I know there has been several case studies released that show this payoff in test/control cases, however I am not seeing the conversion happening to match the scale of the investments.

I am including a chart of one retailer to emphasize this point. I have left the name out as it is just illustrative of the trend I am seeing. Basically e-commerce sales are growing (not in chart) 20% + yoy and represent > 10% of annual revenues. At the same time absolute market share is eroding as judged by shrinking absolute same store sales. In this case a significant amount of capital expenditure was spent growing the e-commerce.

SSS_Capital_Investments.png

I think the conversion of the digital shopper in larger numbers is the key to realizing returns on these investments. This will most likely require a sustained effort between digital marketing groups and merchants which although is happening in a lot of cases, is not happening at sufficient scale or time horizons to satisfy the investment community.

I would welcome any feedback or cases where this is not happening, I have been impressed personally from an outside in perspective with the Restoration Hardware story and how they are creating a hybrid (digital & physical engagement) customer who engages in scale at every brand touch point.

How to Create SAP Smart Business Tiles for SAP Customer Activity Repository

$
0
0

In this CAR Tip in a Minute, I will explain how to create a SAP Smart Business KPI tile in the SAP Fiori Launchpad.

The SAP Fiori analytical applications delivered with SAP Customer Activity Repository use SAP Smart Business tiles as opposed to static SAP Fiori tiles for three main reasons:

  1. SAP Smart Business tiles allow for dynamic data to be displayed. This is in contrast to a static SAP Fiori tile which can only display static data. The SAP Smart Business tile also allows the user to navigate to the application with object/action semantic options.
  2. SAP Smart Business tiles allow for high flexibility and customization via the configurable input parameters consumed by the application’s SAP HANA views.
  3. Multiple SAP Smart Business tiles can be created with the same evaluation.

Prerequisite

The front-end user must have been granted the necessary roles. For more information on the authorization roles required, see http://help.sap.com/car-> SAP Customer Activity Repository 2.0 FP1 -> Application Help -> Additional Content -> SAP Smart Business for SAP Customer Activity Repository.

Procedure

  1. Select the “Create KPI tile in the SAP Fiori Launchpad.1.png
  2. Enter the data for the Parameters section  as follows:2.png
    1. The ID will be the one that is given to the tile you are creating. This cannot be changed after this screen is confirmed. The default can be kept or you can select another ID.
    2. The Title will be the name and label of this KPI.
    3. Choose Additional Languagesto provide translations for the title
    4. The other attributes in the Parameters section are optional.
  3. Data Source section of this page provides the necessary information for the data source for the data presented in the tile.

3.png

  1. The SAP HANA view that you provide is consumed by the tile content. The views should be entered in the SAP HANA View field, based on which application this tile is being created for. For example if you are creating the KPI for Net Sales, you will enter the view NetSalesCurPerdQuery.

Application

SAP HANA View

Net Sales

NetSalesCurPerdQuery

Gross Margin

GrossMarginCurPerdQuery

Number of Transactions

NumberOfTransactionsCurPerdQuery

Items per Transaction

NumberOfSlsItemsPerTransCurPerdQuery

Average transaction value

AverageTransactionValueCurPerdQuery

  1. Once you have entered the SAP HANA View, when you click on the other input boxes, the correct value will be loaded automatically except for the entity set
  2. The OData Service you specify is the HANA XS OData service used to retrieve the data.
  3. The Entity set provides the data structure for the OData service. You will have to enter the correct value here as it is not loaded automatically based on the following table:

Application

Entity Set

Net Sales

NetSalesCurPerdQueryResults

Gross Margin

GrossMarginCurPerdQueryResults

Number of Transactions

NumberOfTransactionsCurPerdQueryResults

Items per Transaction

NumberOfSalesItemsPerTransCurPerdQueryResults

Average transaction value

AverageTransactionValueCurPerdQueryResults

  1. The Value Measure specifies the data source for the number that will be displayed on the tile.
  2. The Semantic Object/Action must be provided to determine what happens when a user clicks on the tile. The object is specified first and the action is specified in the second box. These fields specify the navigation target. The following data should be entered based on the application for which tile is being created.

Application

Semantic Object

Semantic Action

Net Sales

  1. Choose Activate and Add Evaluation.
  2. For more information on SAP Smart Business KPIs, see the SAP Help Portal

You will now enter the information required for creating the evaluation.

  1. Enter the Descriptive parameters. Only the Evaluation ID and title is mandatory.4.png
  2. Enter the information in the Data source section. Again the SAP HANA view entered should be the same as when the tile KPI was created. The value for the other fields (OData Service, Entity Set, Value Measure, Semantic Object and Action) will be displayed automatically taken from the KPI data entered earlier.

5.png

    1. The Scaling Factor and Decimal Precision fields can both be set to “auto”. The scaling factor specifies how the KPI value is displayed (for example, whether the value is expressed as thousands, millions, and so on). The decimal precision specifies the number of decimal places to show in the results.
    2. Enter the input parameters and filters:6.png
    3. De-select the P_SAPClient checkbox for Session Client and enter the Session Client value required. Note that it is necessary to provide the correct SAP Client (SAP MANDT), otherwise the results displayed may be incorrect.7.png
    4. You will now fill out the Target, Threshold and Trend section:

      1. Change Value type to “Measure” to then enter the field names
      2. Enter the information in the Target, Warning, Thresholds, reference value and trend sections based on this table. This allows for the color coding that appears in the tile

      Red: value < critical
      Green:  value > target
Orange: critical < value < target

           e.   The Trend is used to determine if the trend is going up or down based on the reference value, two parameters that you must enter.

Next we will need to configure the tile that will appear in the SAP Fiori Launchpad for this application.

  1. Choose Activate and Configure Tile.
  2. For more information on adding evaluations to a KPI, see the SAP Help Portal.
  3. 9.png

  1. Fill the “Add Tile” configuration screen:

    1. The Tile Configuration should be filled out as follows:
    2. Tile Format: Numeric Tile
    3. Title (KPI): This will be the title of tile, as displayed in the Fiori Launchpad (blue label in tile displayed below)
    4. Subtitle (Evaluation): The subtitle for tile that will appear in the Fiori Launchpad (green label in tile displayed below)10.png
    5. Finally, the Drill-Down selected should be “Other Drill-Down”, and make sure to select “others” under the Select Drill-Down field.
    6. The action and Semantic Object will be the same as when the KPI was created.

  1. Choose Save and Activate.
  2. We now need to add the authorizations to the users which are to have access to the tiles.

  1. Select the Manage KPI authorizations tile11.png
  2. Choose Authorize Users and Roles.

    1. Select the users and roles you want to authorize and click Save:12.png
    2. Finally, all that is left to do is add the tiles to the SAP Fiori Launchpad:

  1. Click the pencil icon in the SAP Launchpad:13.png
  2. Press the + button to add the Tile
  3. The tiles for which you have authorizations for will appear and you can add them by pressing the + sign below the tile:

15.png

You should now see the tile in your SAP Fiori Launchpad.

You can repeat the steps outlined 4 additional times, one time for each application, each time entering the data corresponding to that application. After completing this you will find the 5 applications in the SAP Fiori Lauchpad as follows:
