[AFS] Incorrect Receipt/ Requirement date in MD04 for STO

$
0
0

Hi,

We have a scenario where we created Cross company STO (ME21N with type NB) with receiver plant as 1000 and shipping plant as 2000.

Now we run BOM on 2000.

In result Planned Order-->Production Order got created.

Now when i check MD04 screen, my expectation is, Receipt/Requirement date supposed to be "Delivery Creation Date " form Shipping tab of STO.

But Receipt/Requirement date is far different than Delivery creation date. (Gap of almost 8 month).

This issue not common, we face this issue with very few STO's only and we are unaware in which condition this issue came. We are failing to replicate same scenario in Quality of Development system.

To find out affected STO's, we usually check table J_3ABDSI, if we fund huge difference between Mat.Avail.Date (MBDAT) and Delivery Date (EDATU) then that STO is affected.

Please note- We are using SAP AFS system

Thanks in Advance.

Chandan.

Interview with RSR: Retail marketing today (and its rocky relationship with merchandising)

Retail marketers are struggling with digital marketing, knowing which tactics work best in which channels and measuring the effectiveness of different marketing tactics.

At the same time relations with merchandising are at an all time low. In a recent RSR survey 50% more respondents cited ‘getting marketing in line to support merchandising plans’ as a top three operational challenge than in the previous year.

I recently interviewed the experts at RSR Research about these and other topics that retailers are wrestling with. Here’s a glimpse of what was said.

On using customer data in merchandising – It appears the industry has been stuck on the problem of adding a fourth dimension to the planning cube. “…many retailers have just given up”.

On the marketing/merchandising divide– “We’re hearing that there’s a recognition that if merchandising can’t deliver on the brand promise marketing makes, the whole enterprise will suffer.”

On tracking consumer journeys– “…tracking customers as they ‘hop across channels’ is so far almost impossible.” Consumers just don’t take their tracking cookies with them into the store!!

On the ROI of digital marketing - “…retailers don’t really understand just how much digital marketing activities influence secondary behaviors…”

On outsourcing customer analysis – “It’s worth noting that these projects (particularly customer data analysis) are okay to outsource until a retailer actually wants to use that data as an input to another process.”

These are just a few of the enlightening points made in the interview. Read the whole conversation and you’ll find many more nuggets of valuable information. Download it now.

Distribution of Article Hierarchy via IDOCS

Is there a standard report/tcode to send article hierarchy via IDOCS.

Also I am able to see message type WMATGRP but I am unable to find an inbound processing code for this.

Is there any alternate method to distribute Article Hierarchy between different SAP clients?

Thanks

POSDM sales posting by different distribution channel

Hi experts

My client is a retailer and integrating brick and mortar store. However these brick and mortar store would also be responsible for fulfilling e-commerce demand.

The client requirement is to be able to perform sales billing document posting in SAP ECC into different distribution channel for the same store site (1. Brick and Mortar; 2.E-commerce, etc). The client is also going to implement POSDM.

Is it able to differentiate different distribution channel in POSDM and when sales is interfaced back to ECC (WPUUMS / WPUTAB), able to post billing to separate dist channel?

If cannot, what can be other proposed standard method?

What would be the configuration steps for this?

Appreciate a lot for your help.

Best Regards

Dominic

PO confirmation control disappears

All,

We are setting up external PO scenario in SAP retail and facing an issue. We have maintained confirmation control as "0004 - Inbound delivery" in vendor master, article master and info record. The confirmation control defaults while manual creation of PO but disappears or field becomes blank when we save the PO.

Any pointer in resolving the issue would be appreciated.

thanks,

Dear Retail community,

The new version of the SAP hybris Marketing Rapid-Deployment Solution (RDS) (v6.11) has been released on Nov 6, 2015.

New capabilities are

  • Underlying product version is now SAP hybris Marketing 1.1 (1508)
  • Enhancements to previous scope:
    • Inclusion of Marketing Executive Dashboard
    • Inclusion of Customer Journey Insight
    • New sample SAP Lumira report “Budget and Spend Explorer”
    • Inclusion of Manage Recommendations and Sender Profile apps
    • Integration with Digital Asset Management for Campaign Management

  • hybris Marketing for Retail
    • new SAP HANA content referencing SAP CAR data

(You can review the delta between last version (1505) and the new version (1508) in the “Delivery Supplement”, slides 6 – 13, that you find on http://service.sap.com/rds-ymkt -> in the left navigation bar

open the “More information – V6.11” folder.)

For the first time hybris Marketing RDS provides Retail industry specific content that enables you to discover new insights into your customers, identifying common attributes, interests, behaviors and priorities based on SAP Customer Activity Repository.

This enables you to combine CAR based information like

  • omni-channel transactional data
  • preferred sales channel and store,
  • more precise return/sales ratio, revenue,

in hybris Marketing Segmentation with common criteria, like

  • age, gender, marital status

  • and many more,

see figure below.

In a next step you can use these groups for marketing activities, like campaigns or product recommendations, and thus optimize the response and conversion rates.

Price Planning Workbench Configuration / Execution

$

Hi Experts,

I had a question pertaining to the SAP Retail Price Planning Workbench, specifically t-code WRF_PPW01. I've done the required config settings from the 'Best Practices' documents for both 'Markdown Planning' and 'Price Planning Workbench'. I'm able to create price plans and create organization sets. When I use the 'best practice articles', I'm able to execute the entire end-to-end process for 'Manual Price Changes' for a group of articles.

When I try to use articles that I have created myself and try to add them to my price plan, I get an error and am not able to select any articles. I tried all existing articles in my system as well as all merchandise categories.

Is there any specific configuration settings I need to make to allow the article I created, to be added to my price plans? Does it depend on the article type? The articles I created are not even being found in the system for the possibility of being added to the price plans. Any thoughts or guidelines would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance,

D

5 critical steps to unprecedented consumer insights

$

1.png

For years retail marketing executives have relied on traditional sampling methods to monitor and measure consumer behavior, often from external agencies. But times are changing. We now live in an increasingly digital world, where shoppers flit from channel to channel on impulse and expect a personalized experience wherever they go.

In this environment sampling that only delivers a broad picture of consumer behavior and preferences doesn’t go far enough. A much more detailed awareness of shopper behavior is needed, which requires a number of new capabilities.

The first is the ability to collect data from every stage of each customer’s shopping journey and every interaction across all the channels they use to build a complete picture of individual shopping behavior and preferences.

The second is the ability to analyze that data in real time in order to proactively deliver offers and experiences that will entice shoppers to move further on their buying adventure.

The third is the ability to use external sources, such as social media and data from mobile operators, to track both individual customer sentiment and identify key trends and opportunities.

The fourth is ability to predict ahead of time what will motivate and engage shoppers. This type of analysis need not be restricted to existing customers, it can also be applied to a wider group of consumers that a retailer wants to attract.

Finally, the 5th step, retailers need the ability to use the knowledge gained from these activities to rapidly plan and adapt assortments, prices, and promotions.

Being able to collect, consolidate and analyze data in this way is the first of our six strategies to simplify retail marketing. Discover the others here.

Retail: Additionals process Steps

$

Hi Experts,

I am trying to configure Additionals in SAP Retail system. Some how able to maintain data but not sure if I have done correct things.

Request to confirm my understanding.

1. I maintained Additionals article with procedure in main article.

2. I create a PO on external Vendor. This PO does not contain additional article. Is it correct?

3. I maintained pricing condition for additional article and it is populated in external Vendor PO. There are two conditions provided by SAP.

KAD0 and KAD1. What I understand is KAD0 represents additional purchase cost for Vendor. KAD1 represents additionals handling cost to vendor.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

4. Once goods receipt is posted in warehouse, I want to carry out some additionals handling in warehouse. This can be done by assigning IDOC generation event at the time of goods receipt. So that this IDOc can be used by warehouse to carry out additional assignment in warehouse.

5. I also want to carry out additional handling in store once goods are delivered in store. It is mentioned that this data can be sent to store in assortment list IDOC. But when goods receipt is booked in store, how store will be informed about activity to be performed? are some enhancement is store system require to monitor such product and inform store user at the time of goods receipt.

I am not very sure, if the steps explained above are correct and need confirmation about the same.

Kiran C

Mass Vendor Master Contact Person Deletion

Hello Experts,

I have a requirement to delete Vendor Master Contact Persons in mass, the scenario is we have multiple vendor master records and for each of these records there are multiple Contact Persons that are associated. I need to delete each one of these records en masse, is there a standard transaction that will allow me to do this or will I have to create an LSMW project to perform this deletion using ADR3MAS?

Let me know your thoughts.

Thank you,

STO Availability Checks

$
0
0

Hi

We are facing occasional site specific replenishment issues, when a site's requirement is greater than the available quantity in our warehouse.  As there is insufficient stock to meet the demand, the availability check prevents the line from being created on the STO (even though some of the requirement could be met).

I have looked through the SPRO settings and cannot see anything that allows me to define the availability check, to say that if the "available quantity is = or < the required quantity, but > zero", create the line on the STO.

Has anyone else come across this?  Any helpful pointers would be hugely appreciated.

Many Thanks

Simon

HI ALL

We are executing VKP5 by sales org/ dist channel / per center.

After we save the document and we review it in VKP6 we have for the same material different status per center.

For some centers the status is C and for others center the status is A.

I haven´t been able to figure it out why. Could any one can give some advice of what setting or missing configuration could be causing this.

Thanks in advance.
