TAX Type V/s TAX Code - WPUUMS01

Hi,

I will be creating a WPUUMS IDOC from CAR to post into SAP ERP.

In this IDOC we have two segments with contain the tax information

E1WPU04

TAX CODE

AMOUNT

E1WPU05

SIGN

TAX TYPE

AMOUNT

I would like to know

1. what is the different between the two ?

2. In POSDM.CAR, we only configure TAX Types. Hence, am I correct in assuming that  the segment W1WPU05 is filled and not *04 when created an IDOC from POSDM/CAR.

Error Message WV 106 in Tx VKP5

Hi All

I am getting this error message when I execute VKP5, even though it does not stop you to continue with the price determination , I dont really clearly understand the message  and I need to know how to fix it.

SAP Documentation for message 106 within message class WV

CAUSE

In sales price calculation maintenance you have changed fields in such a way that the system is no longer able to calculate the sales price (or the retail price in the second pricing step). You cannot, for example, change the margin and the actual markup simultaneously in a sales price calculation, as these two entries can have a conflicting effect on the way the sales price is calculated.

Thanks in advance.

Dump when extracting data 0RT_PA_TRAN_CONTROL

$

Hi guys,

Just want to ask if you guys already encountered this problem?

I am using the standard datasource 0RT_PA_TRAN_CONTROL. I appended some fields on it (I used BADI to provide data for the additional fields) and extracting is fine since October 6, 2015. However, Last January 5, 2016 the extractor encountered the error below every time the number of rows extracted reached 1,263,116. I read some threads about this error (but not related with this datasource) but any solution mentioned did not solve the problem. Please refer for error details below.

Some threads:

SAP Search

Before the error happened, we can extract more than 1,263,116 records so I think this is not related with number of records being extracted. Do you think one the fields exceeded the number of length of the infoobject? But if that's the case, data should be truncated right? Or is it related with the internal table? Can I still optimize my code below?

Where do you guys think is the problem? Any idea how to solve this?

POSDM - Tasks with Status that Cannot Be Archived Exist

$

Hi,

I am trying the archive POS transactions. Used SARA tcode and selected /POSDW/TLF, no luck. Alternatively executed program '/POSDW/ARCHIVE_WRITE' with specific date/store combination. Still no luck and getting error message 'Store XXXX Date XX.XX.XXXX Tasks with Status that Cannot Be Archived Exist'. I also checked task status, and could see that all are in 'completed' status.

Any insights on this issue, please let me know.

Thanks,

Venkatesan.

Transactions in error

Hi All,

Is there a way to know what is the cause of the error for all transactions in error (for all stores) in POSDM. There is a good volume of transactions.

/POSDW/DISPLAY_MESSAGELOG

/POSDW/DISPLAY_TASKSTATUS - The error option (Task Status) is displayed in the output. There is no option to give task status in selection screen.

The above two reports are not working well.

Thanks in Advance.

Dear experts,

i have done the relevant customizing settings for sales price calculation and competitor prices.

i also maintained competitor class - type 011 and assigned competitor ( account group 0006 ) to this group.

i created competitor price throught price entry. when i use transaction VKP5 and go to competitor price i get the message "No competitor price could be determined".

when i do pricing analysis i see that " Condition ignored (requirement 085 not fulfilled) "

if i remove requirement 085 from pricing procedure WS00.. i realize that field "customer is initial .

do you have any suggestions?

Why McKinsey’s two-speed IT is only one half of a good idea

$
0
0

In a recent article McKinsey advocates the adoption of a two-speed IT environment to go digital. The authors state that 'delivering an enriched customer experience requires a new digital architecture running alongside legacy systems'.

Yes, the article and its recommendations generally hit the mark: agile, scrum, small podular teams, a modular approach to development in short iterative cycles with a beta-testing, fail fast mind-set. All the buzzwords from Eric Ries’ 2011 book The Lean Startup are represented. It’s a proven method, we know it works. We also know that not all enterprise systems - nor the people in the organisation - can run at that clock-speed and should maintain a slower cycle of change.

However, the fallacy of the statement lies in the use of the term legacy. The Oxford dictionary defines ‘legacy’ in this context as 'software or hardware that has been superseded but is difficult to replace because of its wide use'. It leads readers to believe that with a legacy core –say a mainframe patchwork or an ERP that hasn’t been upgraded in 7 years - they can adopt a two-speed IT environment and tackle the digital age head on. This could not be further from the truth. That form of two-speed IT represents the fast track to high cost and short-term success coupled with a growing complexity that will increasingly thwart the very objective it portrays to achieve: speed to innovation.

In reality, the core supporting your business should never be considered legacy - it is the foundation upon which an organization operates. The operating model is embedded in it, and while that will change over time, it supports your business. The day you consider it legacy should be the day you start making plans to replace it.

All the focus in digital is on the customer experience, yet the digital economy mandates a broader shift in thinking than just digitizing the customer journey. It is naïve to think that a mobile experience coupled with some digital marketing and social initiatives define the digital enterprise. Digital needs to be woven into the fabric of the organization from sourcing and manufacturing to distribution and channel-agnostic but channel-aware services, looking through organizations and channels at the entire value chain.

Digital means to re-imagine

Firstly, Digital means re-imagining the business model - moving from selling products to selling services, from transactions to subscriptions, or shifting from wholesale to direct-to-consumer.

Secondly, it means re-imagining business processes – for example, taking back control of the promotional calendar pushed on retailers by FMCG brands and ensuring offers that are aligned to the category strategy and are valued by the customer.

Thirdly, it means re-imagining the customer experience – focused on presenting a seamless, consistent, authentic view of your brand.

A digital core

To facilitate and enable that, every organization needs a digital core.

Burberry has a digital core (http://bit.ly/1K5fSof). Without it, they would never have been able to take back the licenses for Spain and Japan and re-store their brand image. With it, they have been able to merge digital and physical and lead the way in re-imagining the associate and customer experience across all channels. With it, they are expanding into beauty and fragrance and embracing a completely new business model.

burberry customer one o one.jpg

Decathlon/Oxylane has a digital core. With over 850 stores in 27 countries across 3 continents and 70% of merchandise from own labels, real-time visibility of the supply chain and inventory from sourcing location to store is crucial. This allows them to optimize allocation of stock from production runs at the source based on local current sell-through rates and the latest forecasts. They have now introduced SKU-level RFID on 80% of items, resulting in extensive benefits in the supply chain, and as the foundation for a vastly enriched in-store experience.

Tommy Hilfiger Europe has a digital core. Tommy Hilfiger is launching digital showrooms across Europe (http://bit.ly/1K5f7LK) in a bid to completely re-imagine the showroom environment where retailers come to buy collections for the upcoming season.

Tommy.JPG

Jeanne Ross at MIT’s Center for Information Systems Research states: "In the 21st century no business can survive without a digital core".

A true digital core supports the business in any direction it chooses to take, and does so without decelerating the momentum of change. The core also forms the bedrock for the innovation track of two-speed IT, and that is why collaboration between the two modes of IT is crucial to sustained change and innovation.

Perhaps McKinsey should heed Aesop's Fable the Tortoise and the Hare and in a twist to the story, call for an environment of collaboration - it is bound to trump speed alone.

Hi,

I have activated the function for issuing storage location in STO (Materials Management - Purchasing - Purchase Order - Set up Stock Transport Order - Activate Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations).

In case of STO from store to DC - fine, i'm able to input  the issuing storage location in me21n.

But in case of STO from DC to store the field EKPO-RESLO (issuing st.loc) is grey and not available for input. Could you help me, why it is grey in such case and is it possible to unlock this field?

Have searched this question through scn, but unfortunately without results.

I'm using SAP IS-Retail, SAP_APPL 617.

POSDM PIPE - Sales UOM is not enriched

Hi,

We are receiving sales into POSDM with two qualifiers, one states it is UPC and other states it is article.

When UPC is passed, Sales UOM comes up in TLOGF, but when Article is passsed, not able to see UOM.

We have POSDM implemented on HANA, BW is extracting article data from ECC and posting it to POSDM. Since we donot see any issue when UPC is passed for the same article, We do not suspect BW extraction.

Can you please help us pointing to the right place to check

  1. Enriching BAdI's
  2. Tables where Sales UOM is pulled
  3. Logic how it picks the sales uom.

Thanks,

Consignment Process with POS Return doesn't work fine

I have a question about sales return process in POS Side.

I have made all customizing and it works fine but I got one problem about sales return from customer ( I mean cashier Side,POS Side) .

The sales movement is standard and mvt is 251  and return is 921.

When you sell something  from POS the system works with 251 K but when you make a return from POS the system makes 921 not 921K.

Do I have to make some changes in exits  or badis

Thanks for your reply.
